Nvidia releases the GT 545 and GT 530

Nvidia have released two new cards today; the GT 545 and GT 530 to the OEM market. The specifications of the cards are as follows:

GT 530

  • 96 CUDA cores
  • 128bit memory bus interface
  • 700mhz core clock
  • 1400mhz memory clock
  • 1GB and 2GB versions

GT 545 GDDR3

  • 144 CUDA cores
  • 192bit memory bus interface
  • 720mhz core clock
  • 1800mhz memory clock
  • 1.5GB and 3GB versions

GT 545 GDDR5

  • 144 CUDA cores
  • 128bit memory bus interface
  • 870mhz core clock
  • 3996mhz memory clock
  • 1.5GB and 3GB versions

Analysts have commented that 3GB and 2Gb versions are complete overkill but manufacturers have requested the large numbers in memory size in order to give the illusion to consumers that the cards are more powerful than they actually are.
