Nvidia RTX 5050, 5060 and 5060 Ti Specs Leaked – Can They Compete With Intel & AMD?

It seems NVIDIA is gearing up to refresh its lower and mid-range GPU offerings with the GeForce RTX 50 series, introducing at least three new models: the RTX 5050, RTX 5060, and RTX 5060 Ti. Based on the leaked specifications (see X/tweets below), we can start to paint a picture of what to expect from these upcoming graphics cards. There are three new cards that will fill out the remaining slots in the RTX 5000 series roster; the RTX 5050, the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5060 Ti. Obviously, compared to the RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080 and the flagship 5090, these new cards will be the more budget focused models.
GeForce RTX 5050
The RTX 5050 appears to be the entry-level offering in the new series, likely targeting budget-conscious gamers and those looking for a 1080p gaming experience. With 2,560 CUDA cores, it offers a decent amount of processing power, though notably less than its bigger siblings. The 128-bit memory bus and 8GB of GDDR6 memory should provide sufficient bandwidth for most modern games at this level. Its 130W TDP suggests it will be relatively power efficient and won’t require a beefy power supply.
GeForce RTX 5050 Leaked Specification
- GPU SKU: GB207-300-A1
- Board: PG152-SKU50
- CUDA Cores: 2,560 FP32
- Memory Bus: 128-bit
- Memory Type: GDDR6
- Memory Size: 8 GB
- TDP: 130 W
GeForce RTX 5060
Moving up the ladder, the RTX 5060 aims to deliver a significant performance boost over the 5050. It packs 3,840 CUDA cores, a considerable jump that should translate to smoother frame rates and better performance at higher resolutions, potentially even pushing into 1440p territory. The use of GDDR7 memory is a notable upgrade, offering increased bandwidth compared to the GDDR6 in the 5050. This, combined with the same 8GB capacity and 128-bit bus, should give a nice performance bump. The 150W TDP indicates a moderate increase in power consumption, reflecting the enhanced performance.
GeForce RTX 5060 Leaked Specification
- GPU SKU: GB206-250-A1
- Board: PG152-SKU25
- CUDA Cores: 3,840 FP32
- Memory Bus: 128-bit
- Memory Type: GDDR7
- Memory Size: 8 GB
- TDP: 150 W
GeForce RTX 5060 Ti
Sitting at the top of this leaked lineup, the RTX 5060 Ti is poised to be the performance champion of the series. It’s 4,608 CUDA cores suggest a considerable leap in processing power, making it a strong contender for high-refresh-rate 1440p gaming or even entry-level 4K gaming. The inclusion of a 16GB GDDR7 memory option is particularly interesting, catering to users who want ample memory for demanding games and potentially even content creation workloads. Of course, this performance comes at a cost, with the 180W TDP requiring a more robust power supply.
GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Leaked Specifications
- GPU SKU: GB206-300-A1
- Board: PG152-SKU10/15
- CUDA Cores: 4,608 FP32
- Memory Bus: 128-bit
- Memory Type: GDDR7
- Memory Size: 8 GB/16 GB
- TDP: 180 W
Overall, the RTX 50 series seems to offer a compelling range of options for gamers across different budgets and performance needs. The inclusion of GDDR7 memory and increased CUDA core counts are promising, and it’ll be interesting to see how this holds up against both Intel and AMD’s more mainstream and budget-focused offerings. However, it’s important to remember that these are still leaked specifications, and the final products may differ. We’ll have to wait for NVIDIA’s official announcement to get the full picture and see how these cards perform in real-world scenarios.
