NVIDIA Rumored to Re-Launch RTX 5090D in China with 24GB of Memory
There are rumors that NVIDIA could release a new version of the RTX 5090D in China, with 24GB of memory, instead of the original 32GB. This change could be happening as early as July.
While this news is not official yet, it’s worth noting that the RTX 5090D is already a version of the RTX 5090 that has been reduced in performance to be allowed for sale in China. However, recent changes in regulations by the United States may still affect the model. Currently, sales of the RTX 5090D in China seem to be suspended, though NVIDIA has not confirmed this officially.
NVIDIA May Re-Launch RTX 5090D in China with 24GB of Memory
Now, rumors suggest that NVIDIA might reduce the GPU’s memory to solve this issue.
A screenshot from a conversation with a representative of Manli (NVIDIA’s partner) suggests that the RTX 5090D with 24GB of memory could launch in July. The GPU may be sold at the same price as the original.
If this is true, the big question is whether the new version will still be called the RTX 5090D. In the past, NVIDIA was criticized for releasing RTX 4070 models with GDDR6 memory instead of GDDR6X without changing the product name. Reducing the memory by 8GB, however, is a much more significant change.
