Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 660 SE Information leaked

Nvidia needs a card to target the $180- $200 price segment that AMD currently captures with the 1GB HD 7870 graphics card. It is reported that the GTX 660 SE could be that card.

The Chinese website PCEVA have managed to get their hands on an MSI Twin Frozr GTX 660 SE. The card is said to be released in Q1 2013. The card will have 768 CUDA cores, 24 ROPs and 192-bit memory bus. The GTX 660 SE will be based on Nvidia’s GK106 and with the same CUDA count as the GTX 650 Ti.

The major difference between the two is that the GTX 650 Ti comes with a 128-bit memory bus compared to a 192-bit memory bus on the GTX 660 SE. The card will require a single 6-pin power connector.

Looking at 3DMark 11 Xtreme and performance preset scores, it should fall somewhere between the GTX 650 Ti and the GTX 660.
