NVIDIA’s New Driver Fails to Fix Black Screen Issue for All Users
NVIDIA recently released the Game Ready driver update 572.60 aiming to fix a recurring problem with its RTX 50 series graphics cards: the black screen. However, many users have reported that the update not only failed to resolve the issue but also introduced new instability, especially in games using Multi-Frame Generation (MFG) technology.
New Driver Causes More Issues Than It Solves
Since the launch of the RTX 50 Blackwell series, NVIDIA has faced difficulties, and the 572.60 driver update seemed like a long-awaited solution. This update promised to fix DisplayPort connection issues and BIOS problems. However, according to the profile @mpr_reviews (thanks Wccftech), the update led to constant crashes in all games that support MFG.
NVIDIA later released a minor update with the hotfix 572.65, but the issue persists, leaving users even more frustrated as they hoped for a permanent fix.
Community Seeks Alternatives While Awaiting NVIDIA’s Response
Although there hasn’t been a large volume of complaints yet, initial reports suggest that the problem might be linked to how MFG interacts with the new RTX 50 GPUs.
As the situation continues to unfold, many gamers have decided to revert to earlier driver versions, claiming that the problems were less frequent before the update.
NVIDIA has not yet made an official statement on the issue. However, affected users are encouraged to report their problems on the official GeForce forums so the company can investigate and potentially release a new patch to fix the issue.
With AMD preparing to launch the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT series, the problems faced by RTX 50 users might negatively affect the public’s perception of NVIDIA’s new GPUs.
