NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 Launch on May 19 Will Have No Reviews Due to Missing Drivers
NVIDIA is set to launch its latest RTX 5060 Ti graphics cards, available in two memory options: 16GB and 8GB of VRAM. While it is clear that NVIDIA has prioritized the 16GB models for reviews, the 8GB models, which are more budget-friendly for gaming, have not been given the same attention. The same situation will apply to the upcoming launch scheduled for May 19, right in the middle of the COMPUTEX event.
No Drivers for the RTX 5060 Before Launch
As reported by Igor’s LAB, there will be no drivers for the NVIDIA RTX 5060 until the launch day itself. This means reviewers will not be able to prepare their reviews for the launch day because testing takes time. One additional challenge for reviewers is that the launch date overlaps with the COMPUTEX 2025 event, which will take place from May 20 to 23, with many people attending the event a few days earlier.
Without drivers available ahead of time, it will be difficult for reviewers to provide performance data before the RTX 5060’s launch. According to Igor’s LAB, NVIDIA doesn’t seem to be focused on making reviews available on launch day, possibly to give more attention to higher-end models, like the Ti version, which comes with double the VRAM (GDDR7).
