NZXT C850 SFX Gold PCIe 5.1 Power Supply
The NZXT C850 SFX Gold power supply is here, and while admittedly this new PSU was the perfect partner for the new NZXT H2 2026 mini-ITX PC case we’re reviewing for today, it’s also the latest in a long line of award-winning NZXT power supplies. Obviously, it’s key feature isn’t just the high power output, but the form factor. It’s an SFX unit, which means it’s going to be ideal for SFF PC builds.
The Gold Series promises high-performance, with a fully modular design for enthusiasts and gamers who require reliable, future-proof power. Developed to meet the rigorous demands of modern hardware, including the frequent power spikes from modern GPUs thanks to full ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 support, including native 12V-2×6 for the latest high-performance gaming hardware. Beyond connectivity, the unit prioritises quiet operation with a 92mm fluid dynamic bearing fan and a user-selectable ZeroRPM mode, ensuring the PSU remains silent during light workloads; all pretty impressive stuff given its smaller form factor!
Key Features
Technically, the C850 Gold is built on a robust single-rail platform that 850W of power, which is more than enough to deal with high-end graphics cards and processors, and with an 80 Plus Gold Efficiency, it’ll save you a little money on your power bill, while also resulting in less waste heat being generated. Sure, Platinum rated is better, but the increase in cost to buying one of that spec would be significant. The dimensions are obviously pretty compact, but that’s a good thing for smaller PC builds. Plus, it’s fully modular, which will again be a big space saver in more compact systems.
