NZXT H2 Flow 2026 Edition Mini-ITX PC Case Review

The original NZXT H1 may have had a rocky start, but later revisions proved a big success with system builders, myself included! Now the latest evolution, the H2, is back and also improved yet again ready for a new year. As a dedicated Mini-ITX case, it is designed for gamers and workstation users who want to reclaim desk space without compromising on cooling support or hardware compatibility. Given NZXT’s history of sleek aesthetics and the “Flow” branding bringing expectations for excellent out-of-the-box airflow, I’m eager to see what this has to offer. I feel like mini-ITX is a market that has been under served in recent years, especially with so few new mini-ITX motherboards hitting the market, but there’s still many SFF enthusiasts out there!

NZXT H2 Flow SFF Mini-ITX Chassis

The H2 Flow distinguishes itself through its mixture of tempered glass and a mesh design that ensures vital components receive plenty of fresh air, while still delivering on the aesthetics modern PC gamers ennjoy. Unlike many traditional SFF cases that struggle with heat dissipation, this model utilises a wrap-around perforated panel system to maximise ventilation, which is always welcome with modern CPUs and GPUs that eat through hundreds of watts of power. It also features a tool-less entry system for the tempered glass and side panels, making it incredibly easy to perform maintenance, upgrades or simply give it a clean. What really stands out, however, it the support for many full sized components, including triple-slot graphics cards up to 331mm inn length, and liquid cooling up to 280mm, all while maintaining the clean, minimalist aesthetic for which the NZXT “H” series is known for thanks to its 20.7L capacity.

Key Features

  • Optimised Airflow: High-performance perforated mesh panels on the front, top, and sides for superior thermal management.
  • Built for Liquid Cooling: Supports a 280mm AIO for high performance cooling
  • Compact Footprint: Small form factor (SFF) design ideal for space-constrained setups and minimalist desks.
  • Tool-less Access: Quick-release tempered glass and side panels for effortless hardware installation and maintenance.
  • Pre-installed Cooling: Includes two F120Q Airflow fans tuned for quiet operation and high static pressure.
  • Modern Connectivity: Front I/O features high-speed USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports.
  • Large GPU Support: Supports up to a 331mm GPU, such as the RTX 5090 Founders or RX 9070 XT.

Technical specifications for the H2 Flow (2026 Edition) show support for standard SFX and SFX-L power supplies. Despite its size, the internal layout is intelligently partitioned to support liquid cooling radiators up to 240mm, providing ample headroom for high-performance processors, although air coolers are supported too. The inclusion of the latest F-Series fans ensures that the chassis remains cool and quiet during intense gaming sessions, but there’s room to add additional fans should you need them.
