OCUK Mega-Mega Mat 3XL Elite Tactical Gaming Surface Review

I really enjoyed using the 3XL, even though I didn’t think it was even possible to find a gaming surface “fun”. After all its just a rubber mat but this one really did improve my day to day life while sat at the computer, even if it was only by a little bit. Having a surface that spans my full desk means that I get the benefits of a comfortable surface under my wrists even while typing, it also helps keep my keyboard firmly in place (or anything else that is sat on my desk) and of course I’m not exactly short on tracking space for my mouse either.

I could easily round this off by saying I loved using this 3XL gaming surface, but there is so much more it is capable of, something Overclockers them selves have been keen to point out in the products feature list:

  • Sleek Black design
  • 1200mm x 600mm x 2mm
  • Stunning Overclockers Logo printed on the surface (15cm long)
  • Smooth cloth surface
  • Rubberised grip base to reduce any movement
  • Fully compatible with the Official Overclockers UK Elite Gaming Mug
  • Large surface area for increased desk to gaming surface traction
  • Spill resistant
  • SLI and Crossfire Compatible (especially with the Official Overclockers UK Elite Gaming Mug)
  • Available in right and left handed configurations
  • Compatible with a wide range of hardware configurations

I’m fairly certain I didn’t have to put those in bold and I hope I don’t have to explain the joke. Their product description also goes as far as highlighting its use as a comfortable place to sleep at LAN events, personally I see no reason why this couldn’t double up as a spare camping mat, but on the downside the mat maybe larger than the standard desk space provided at most BYOC gaming events.

A great product overall and for a very reasonable price too, I’m more than happy to award the OCUK Mega-Mega Mat 3XL Elite Tactical Gaming Surface our eTeknix Editors Choice Award.
