Don’t you just hate it when you step out of the office for a few minutes, and someone goes full Ethan Hunt, sneaks into your office, steals all your data, then runs away? Yeah me too, it’s a sure-fire way to get your butt called into HR. So what do you do to keep your data safe?

Orwl thinks they have the solution with their ultra-compact and extremely secure mini-PC. This tiny hockey-puck sized system has been designed with security in mind. With the current crop of hacking stories, ransomware, and so much more, we can understand there’s quite a big market for this kind of system.

While you’ll still login like any other computer using a password, you’ll also need a wireless keyfob. So far so good, that’s pretty standard security. However, when the puck goes out of range, it’ll put the CPU to sleep, turn off the USB and HDMI ports, and prevent anyone from tampering with it.

What if someone simply steals the system and tries to hack into it later? No problem, any tampering with the main system and the device will wipe all data on its encrypted SSD. So while you may have still lost your data, it didn’t fall into the wrong hands; best keep some secure backups though. Using built-in motion sensors, pressure switches, and open-source software, it’s certainly one of the most secure systems in its class.
