Ozone Argon Advanced Pro Laser Gaming Mouse Review

Performance

The Argon is a great mouse to hold in your hand and use, it feels light, fast and very responsive. The Omron switches are well suited to rapid presses, making it great for MOBA style gaming and the rubber grips on the side means that it never slips from your grip in the heat of battle. What I am most impressed with, however, is the sensor performance. Many gamers are leaping on optical sensors these days, but as you can see from the results before, the Argon gives a very accurate readout across the whole range. 8200 DPI is a little unwieldy on any mouse, but I was still able to draw surprisingly accurately with the Argon; there were no signs of acceleration or angle snapping with this sensor throughout my tests.

This mouse is more focused at the competitive gaming market, so it’s pretty straight forward in terms of features. All the usual bells and whistles are catered for, with 9 fully programmable buttons and multiple profiles, so you can quickly swap between multiple DPI range sets and layouts to best suit each game or application; I find that the spare side buttons make great profile switching buttons. All settings can be stored on the internal memory too, so when you go to a gaming tournament, you won’t need the desktop software, which isn’t allowed in tournaments anyway.

Gaming and working alike, are an absolute blast with this mouse. It feels natural in your hand, it has no fussy features that get in your way and regardless of whether I was playing Borderlands,  LoL or any other game for that matter. It felt perfect for the job, giving a good all round performance.

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
