Paragon’s Open Beta phase is scheduled to commence this summer, but if you want to play Epic’s new MOBA right now, you’re going to need to purchase something called a Founder Pack. However, just in case you don’t feel like spending money on a future free-to-play title, we’re going to tell you exactly what to expect from Paragon in terms of performance. You’re probably aware by now that this game will become available for PlayStation 4 and PC, and while PC gamers probably have nothing to worry about as long as their hardware is up to par with the title’s requirements, PlayStation 4 users might be somewhat disappointed in its rendering resolution.
Sources indicate that Paragon will run at 900p on PlayStation 4, which is not exactly encouraging. It is worth pointing out that the game’s UI will be rendered in 1080p, which is a step in the right direction, but considering how incredible Paragon looks overall, I guess that a downgraded 3D rendering resolution was to be expected. The good news is that Epic worked closely with Nvidia in order to optimize the use of APEX as a clothing solution, and early reports suggest that the performance increases are substantial. Therefore, Paragon has a good chance to run at 60 FPS on PlayStation 4 consoles, which is definitely nice to hear. Moreover, rumours suggest that the game might even be ported to the Xbox One in the future, but we’ll just have to wait and see about that.
