Intel i3-8350K performance figures leaked
We’ve all been waiting for some actual performance figures for the new i3-8350K, right? After all, this is one of Intel’s first quad-core i3s, and expectations are quite high for it. A recent leak shows off the processor’s brawn in CPU-z and AIDA64. Yes, we only get to show you some benchmarking figures for now. As far as CPU-Z goes, the new i3-8350K managed to score 503.3 in the single threaded test, while the multi-threaded test resulted in 1982.0 points. According to these results, the new i3 is faster than the Core i7-7700K. Quite impressive if you ask me. Particularly since the i3 was clocked at 4.0GHz while the i7 has a boost of 4.7 GHz. It was faster than the i7-6700K too, obviously.
What about the motherboard?
The motherboard features the Z370 chipset. This means that you will definitely need a new motherboard in order to be able to install the new Coffee Lake CPUs in your system. This news is never really received well by the PC gaming community, but considering the performance leap, investing in a new motherboard might be worth it. Intel has been making some decent progress lately, which makes sense considering the heat AMD has brought on with its new chips. As long as Coffee Lake has a decent price, it has a good chance to become highly successful. However, we will need to see exactly how well the i3-8350K performs in gaming, as synthetic benchmarks and actual gaming performance can tell different stories. We’ll go ahead and attach the AIDA64 results for you so you can see it all for yourself.
Are you excited about the upcoming Coffee Lake chips? More importantly, will you be willing to swap your current chips for i3s when they eventually come out this fall?
