Phenom II 955 overclocked to 7.378GHz…New World Record?

According to sources at TweakTown a bunch of overclockers managed to achieve a crazy overclock on a AMD Phenom II X4 955 processor, bringing the Quad core processor to an astonishing 7.378GHz running a core voltage of 1.88v. The “Mad222” group of Team Centralfield managed to achieve these fanatastic overclocks running the 955 processor on a Gigabyte 890FX UD7 motherboard. The cooling was achieved with liquid Nitrogen. A CPU-Z screenshot below shows more details on the overclock:

The processor was too unstable at 7.378GHz to conduct a SuperPi 1 million benchmark so the processor was dropped back to 7.155GHz to conduct the test and that resulted in a time of 9.58 seconds to calculate 1 million digits of Pi.
