Philips 243B9H Monitor With USB-C & Windows Hello Webcam Revealed

It’s no big secret that there are millions more people are working from home these days. The trusty budget monitor you may have had in your home office may have been fine for checking emails and playing Peggle on a Saturday morning, but these days, you may need a little more with the increased number of hours you’re spending in front of it.

Philips monitors B Line is specifically designed to meet those needs and more, thus supporting a wide number of professionals seeking a comfortable, reliable and secure monitor. Philips has just revealed the latest addition to their B Line, the 243B9H, which features a modest 23.8″ (60.5 cm) panel, with a full HD resolution and a nice 75Hz refresh rate (which seems to be becoming more common).

There’s also a built-in pair of stereo speakers and a webcam. That means you can run your Zoom calls (or whatever platform) more easily, with no need for additional audio or video devices. Plus, it’s a pop-up camera, so you can hide it for privacy when not in use. Finally, it also features Windows Hello, allowing you to log in using biometrics, very handy!

With a built-in USB port, you can use DisplayPort of USB-C, allowing you to hook up a computer or laptop with ease. Plus, it’ll deliver 65W of power over that Type-C, allowing you to charge a compatible laptop while you use it! In addition, the 3-port USB 3.2 hub integrated into the monitor ensures high-speed data transfer to connected peripherals such as external hard drives or SSDs.

Additional Features

The Philips 243B9H also features important technologies for easing any discomfort caused by prolonged sessions in front of the monitor. Its IPS panel provides extra-wide viewing angles of 178/178 degrees, making it possible to view the display from almost any angle. In addition, it also features Low Blue Mode, FlickerFree technology and EasyRead Mode – technologies that help the eyes stay healthy and ensure visual comfort. This viewing experience is enhanced by Philips’ SmartErgoBase, a monitor stand that delivers ergonomic display comfort combined with cable management. The stand offers a wide range of adjustments including height, swivel, tilt and rotation, allowing the monitor to be positioned to suit users’ needs.
