Philips 24B2D5300 Dual Sided 120Hz Business Monitor Review
Philips has a pretty vast array of monitors, but they’re also one of the biggest brands in the business, so that’s no surprise. However, they’ve just introduced a rather unique solution for modern workspaces with the 24B2D5300 dual-sided business monitor. Aimed primarily at customer-facing environments and collaborative office setups, this device offers two 23.8-inch screens mounted back-to-back on a single base. This design allows two users to share one device, or a single user can extend or mirror content across both displays to easily present information to a client sitting across a desk. In terms of performance expectations, the inclusion of a 120Hz refresh rate and an IPS panel means you can expect smooth on-screen motion and excellent colour accuracy from almost any viewing angle, making it a highly practical and responsive tool for everyday office applications. Personally, I think it’s just quirky, something a bit different, and had to get one in to take a look!
What makes this Philips display stand out is the DualView functionality, allowing you to operate each screen independently from a single PC or laptop. It acts exactly like a traditional two-monitor setup but in a much more space-efficient footprint. You can clone the display to show identical content on both sides, or extend your desktop while using the OSD Sync feature to ensure settings like brightness and contrast remain consistent across both screens. Furthermore, the monitor includes Flicker-Free technology and a dedicated SoftBlue mode, both of which are designed to reduce digital eye strain and make prolonged periods of screen time much more comfortable.
Features
- Dual-sided back-to-back monitor design

- On-Screen Display Sync for matching display settings on both sides
- SoftBlue technology and Flicker-Free backlight for enhanced eye comfort
- EasyRead mode designed to simulate a paper-like reading experience
- Built-in USB 3.2 hub with Type-C power delivery
Moving on to the internal hardware, both panels on the Philips 24B2D5300 measure 23.8 inches and utilise an IPS matrix to deliver a Full HD resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. While gamers frequently look for high refresh rates, this business monitor also benefits from a 120Hz panel, ensuring an incredibly smooth desktop experience alongside a standard 4ms response time, so some cheaky two-sided co-op gaming isn’t out of the question. The connectivity options are robust, featuring multiple HDMI ports and USB Type-C connections on each side to simplify cable management, while the integrated speakers provide audio for your media too, albeit they’re shared between the two screens.
