Philips 34″ 6000 Series 34B2U6603CH Monitor Review
Display Analysis
This monitor doesn’t claim to be some super colour accurate editing beast, and it’s not designed to be. As I’ve said, it’s a work monitor, or a business monitor if you’re feeling fancy. It’s a big screen crammed full of peripherals to make life easier at the office or your WFH setup, and it does that very well. However, the VA panel still matched 999% of sRGB, so it’s going to handle SDR content with ease, and 88% of DCI-P3 is respectable, so it’s really pretty good over all, given the age of the display technology.
Gamma tracked at 2.1, a little under our desired 2.2, but again, it’s close enough and the image quality is pleasing to the eye, so I doubt anyone will have an issue with this. I tried other gamma settings, and they were all further out, but honestly, just set it to one you find pleasing to the eye, or leave it on the stock settings, and you’ll be fine.
The colour accuracy of the screen is very good though, with a Delta-E of just 1.19, was below the Delta-E of 3 that we would regard as very good, so your media, photos, and work files are going to look pretty accurate.
