Philips Evnia 27″ 27M2N5901A Dual Frame Fast IPS Monitor Review
A Closer Look
I’ve you’ve followed our previous coverage of Philips Evnia monitors, you’ll know that they all largely look the same. From the 27″ one we have here, up to their flagship ultrawide OLED models, the only thing that changes in the design is the shape and size of the screen. They all have this stunning off-white and light grey aesthetic, that looks truly premium from every angle.

The monitor features slim bezels on three sides, with a thicker one at the bottom, but even then, the bottom bezel is still pretty unobtrusive.

There’s a good quality anti-glare coating on the panel, which is great news for those using their monitors during the day or any well lit environment.

The stand looks great, with that slightly mixed plastic effect that has a sort of marble or post consumer plastic look, while still retaining a premium look and feel for the monitor.

There is also a stunning back panel design, with a geometric design that will appeal those who have a more open desktop setup.

If you like ambient lighting that matches your on-screen action, or just a range of built-in effects, there’s an array of lights that runs down the sides and along the top of the back panel; a common feature on Evnia monitors for a few years now.

In terms of connectivity, the monitor is well equipped, offering a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K120Hz, providing all the support you need for consoles. There’s also a DisplayPort, which you’ll need to utilise the 4K160Hz or the full Full HD 360Hz mode on PC.

There’s a Type-C port, as well as a built-in KVM USB hub too, meaning you can hook up your laptop, peripherals, desktop PC and control it all from a single monitor and set of peripherals.

Plus, there’s plenty of mobility, with tilt, swivel and even rotation to a full portrait mode.
