Right out of the box on its factory settings, it’s pretty much near perfect. You can get more colour in HDR mode, but honestly, 98% of DCI-P3 in SDR mode is frankly insane, the colours are extremely rich and plentiful here, but also exceptionally accurate too.
A near-perfect gamma curve at 2.3, which is actually thrown out a little by the dimming technology for OLED. Turn it off, and it’s bang on 2.2, but real world, it looks absolutely fine on the stock settings.
The grey ramp is nearly perfect, with what looks like a roller coaster, but the actual deviance is extremely small. We normally see a swing of a few hundred kelvin, this is more like 110 a most.
I normally do my own calibration after this test, but honestly, what’s the point, it’s just about the most colour-accurate screen I’ve tested and this is on factory settings. This is good enough to do professional movie and image editing!
