Planetside 2 Breaks Guinness World Record for Biggest FPS Battle Ever

Last weekend, 1,158 Planetside 2 players came together to break the Guinness World Record for Most Players Online in an FPS Battle.
The previous record was held by Man Vs. Machine – a game built especially to break the record, at the time held by the first Planetside game – with 999 players.
The record attempt was organised by mass-battle arrangers PlanetsideBattles. The group made a post on reddit, inviting players to join them in their attempt to enter the Guinness Book of Records.
The feat took place on 24th January at 22:00 UTC.
