Play Overwatch for FREE from September 22 to 25

In case you have not bought and played Overwatch yet, you will finally get a chance to try it out soon for free. Blizzard is letting players try the full game out for the weekend starting September 22 until September 25. The event is not only open to PC gamers, but for console players as well. The game costs $39.99 USD for the standard edition, with the game of the year edition priced at $59 for the PC, Xbox and PS4.

Just because it is the free version, it does not mean that Blizzard is limiting some of the features. This means that players will have access to all 25 heroes across 16 maps for use in Quick Play, Custom Games and the Arcade modes.

This is also not the first time Blizzard instituted a free-to-play weekend, having done so last November and last summer. Which is why they are smart enough to let players who earn lootboxes during the event keep it. Players who buy the game after the weekend can then continue with the same customization rewards. As long as you use the same login account of course, and not create a new one after.
