Pokemon Go Finally Gets Legendary Pokemons on July 22

Pokemon fans have more reasons to celebrate this weekend since Pokemon Go finally gets its Legendaries. After months of rumours and waiting, Niantic confirms that the most powerful monsters will be available. More importantly, they can be caught. With some caveats of course. It is known for while that the Pokemon Fest is a good place to earn rare prizes and participate in raids. It turns out those prizes are a lot bigger than initially thought. In fact, they are legendary monster size-wise.
Capturing a Pokemon Go Legendary? It Can’t Possibly Be Simple
Niantic explains that trainers exploring their area looking for raid battles have to watch out for Legendary eggs appearing in gyms. If the trainer defeats a Legendary Raid boss, they will have an opportunity to capture it on their own.
However, the thousands of trainers attending Grant Park, Chicago for Pokemon Go fest have to first defeat the appearing Legendary Pokemon. Legendaries will only appear in raid battles worldwide after the event. Also, before a Legendary even appears in Chicago, the participants have to capture enough Pokemon first. At least a level 15 requirement is necessary to participate in raids. So those who want to catch a legendary have to start grinding now.
