Powercolor R9 290X PCS+ 4GB Graphics Card Review

Overclocking

Our sample didn’t have the impressive overclocking headroom I saw on a few other reviews but nonetheless the results were still the best we’ve had so far. 1125MHz on the core is a solid result and 1650MHz on the memory is just fantastic, here’s how the Powercolor R9 290X PCS+ stacks up against other R9 290Xs we tested:

  • Powercolor R9 290X PCS+ – 1125MHz core and 1650MHz actual (6600MHz effective) memory.
  • Gigabyte R9 290X WindForce OC – 1110MHz core and 1500MHz actual (6000MHz effective) memory.
  • AMD R9 290X Reference – 1100MHz core and 1525MHz actual (6100MHz effective) memory.
