Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Rated by ESRB
The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has added Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake to its database, a move that could signal an imminent announcement from Ubisoft.
The game has received a T (Teen) rating, indicating it’s suitable for players aged 13 and up. The ESRB mentions blood, partial nudity, sexual themes, and violence, though none are described as particularly explicit. The official summary closely matches that of the original title: “An action-adventure game in which players assume the role of a Persian prince on a quest to break a curse.”
A Hint Toward Imminent Release
ESRB classifications typically appear not long before a game’s release, although there are exceptions. In this case, signs strongly suggest that The Sands of Time Remake could launch soon. Ubisoft has officially confirmed that the game will arrive before March 31, 2026, marking the end of the current fiscal year.
However, insider sources — including industry leaker Tom Henderson — claim the game may launch as early as January 16, just days away. Supporting these rumors, Ubisoft recently updated the game’s official website, a move that often precedes major announcements.
With the ESRB rating now public and several hints aligning, all signs point to Ubisoft being just days away from officially revealing the return of one of gaming’s most beloved franchises.
