The Panther is Prolimatech’s first attempt at a cooler which utilizes four nickel-plated 6mm heatpipes as a heat transferral method. A narrow aluminium fin stack with fins of “mathematically calculated thickness” provides the heat dissipation medium. Prolimatech’s decision to use a narrow fin stack allows the cooler’s interference with tall RAM modules or VRM heatsinks to be kept to a minimum. Airflow comes via the red 120mm PWM LED fan which is capable of rotating between 800 and 1600 RPM.
Retailing for €39,90/$55 and offering compatibility for Intel’s LGA 1155/1156 and AMD’s AM2, AM2+ and AM3 sockets, have Prolimatech hit a price vs performance sweet spot with their Panther?
