PS5 Pro Outshines PC in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Graphics Comparison

A recent video published by the YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits compares the PC and PlayStation 5 Pro versions of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, analyzing which offers the better graphical performance. The comparison was conducted at comparable resolutions to ensure fairness.
PlayStation 5 Pro Outshines PC in Details and Shadows
The results are surprising, with the PlayStation 5 Pro version outperforming the PC version in several areas, particularly in terms of detail. For example, vegetation appears richer on Sony’s console, while on PC, it is sometimes entirely absent. Additionally, the overall image on PS5 Pro is cleaner and sharper, whereas certain PC settings seem to mirror those of the standard PlayStation 5 version.
Lighting and shadows also favor the PS5 Pro version, as the PC version appears to have inherited the less impressive shadow system from the standard PS5. However, draw distance is superior on PC, despite occasional losses in detail. The PC’s enhanced lighting system yields mixed results: it improves the image quality in some scenarios but diminishes it in others.
Both Versions Deliver High-Quality Visuals
Nonetheless, both versions deliver exceptionally high-quality visuals, and the average player is unlikely to notice significant differences unless directly comparing them. Most players will simply enjoy the version available on their platform.
It’s worth noting that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth launched on PC just a few days ago and has been performing well, achieving the highest concurrent player record for a single-player Final Fantasy game on Steam. The PS5 Pro version launched alongside the console, providing an exceptional experience for PlayStation users.
