QNAP has announced the availability for their most advanced business NAS yet called the TS-2888X. It is a powerful yet affordable business NAS with QNAP’s exclusive QuAI computing platform. Coupled with Intel Xeon W processors up to 18 cores and 36 threads and 4.5GHz, workload processing is not an issue.
This CPU is cooled with an all-in-one Asetek liquid cooling system. This means it requires no maintenance and keeps the temperatures low.
The TS-2888X NAS also supports up to 512GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM 2666MHz with 8x RDIMM slots. Has 8x PCIe slots with up to four graphics cards (maximum depth of 330mm), and has a built-in 2,000W PSU switch and connector.
Of course, talking about NAS doesnt’ make sense without factoring in actual storage capability. So the TS-2888X has room for up to 16x 2.5″ SATA 6Gb/s SSD drives, and has room for 8x 3.5″ SATA 6Gb/s HDD drives. There are also four 2.5″ U.2 SSD bays supporting PCIe 3.0 x4 per SSD.
In terms of connectivity, it has 6x USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, 4x GbE LAN and 2x 10GBase-T LAN ports.
