Are These the R9 480X 3DMark 11 Scores?

So far, AMD has kept a tight ship about what their Polaris GPUs will look like. The only official information we’ve received is that Polaris 10 will be targeting the mainstream segment of the market. Other than that, we have various rumours claiming that Polaris 10 will be the R9 480(X) and performance rumours have placed it from below R9 390X all the way to above the GTX 980Ti. Today, we’re getting some benchmarks of what might be Polaris 10.

As the source is quick to point out, all we have to go with are a few Polaris GPU IDs. These have been suggested to be Polaris 10 given their performance and likely the R9 480(X). Of course, I would take these numbers with a giant grain of salt. For the AMD Polaris 67DF:C7, we have 18060 points while the AMD Polaris 67DF:C4 scores 16164 points in 3DMark 11. There is also a Crossfire Polaris 67DF:C7 which scores 25803 points.

It’s important to point out that the scores for the chips are climbing over the past while, likely due to driver and clock speed improvements.Videocardz also messed up a bit with the R9 390X scores which should be somewhat higher. Based on the results, it points to performance on the lower end of the rumours but is by no means confirmed or final. The Crossfire scores are also a bit poor based on past experience. While we can’t read too much into this, it does seem to set a baseline for what Polaris 10 will eventually perform like.
