Raijintek is one of the best in the business when it comes to PC components, as time and time again they’ve delivered some of the best performing, designed and priced products in the cooling market, as well as other award-winning products such as their chassis’. Today we’re looking at their new Aidos cooler, which obviously isn’t designed to tackle the enthusiast market, with its compact size and lower price point, but there’s a big market for those wanting to upgrade from stock coolers, and the small size will appeal to those building compact workstations and gaming systems, as well as those on a tight budget.
Equipped with support for the latest Intel and AMD sockets, the compact Aidos clocks in at just 136mm tall and uses a smaller 92mm fan to help keep things compact, making it suitable for mini-ITX type builds. With aluminium allow fins, as well as four 6mm copper heat pipes, the Aidos should be pretty capable. Weirdly, no mat TDP is specified, but I’ll go on a limb here and say any non-overclocked CPU on a compatible socket should be absolutely fine.
Packaging & Accessories
The box for the Aidos is nice and compact, making it easy to transport. The model we have is the Aidos Black, and there’s a standard (red) version, which is pretty much the same, but has a red plastic housing for the fan.
Down the side, the full specifications (see above) and on the back, a few stylish images showing off the general design of the cooler.
In the box, you’ll find all the usual nuts and bolts, a universal mounting plate, a small sachet of thermal paste, Intel and AMD brackets, rubber fan mounts, and an additional set of metal fan clips to add a second fan; that last one wasn’t originally included, so Raijintek must have been listening to feedback.
Also included in the box, a Raijintek 92mm fan, which comes with a black braided cable and a 4-pin PWM header.
