Razer Seiren Elite: More Hardware for Streamers
Razer is announcing the new Seiren Elite, a broadcast-ready microphone for streamers. The microphone has a built-in high-pass filter as well as a digital/analog vocal limiter, recording clear signals without distortion. It can record in 44.1kHz or 48kHz 16-bit sample rate via its cardioid pattern single dynamic capsule mic.
The Seiren also readily plugs in via USB without the need for a pre-amp or other expensive equipment. That means streamers can just plug it into their laptop and start streaming right away. Moreover, it features zero audio lag so the video remains in sync with the audio once the streaming starts.
“Most professional-grade microphones require additional recording equipment, like mixers and converters that you need to get your sound onto your PC,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. “The Razer Seiren Elite solves that problem, letting broadcasters focus on their content and letting the Seiren Elite handle their audio.”
Of course, this is not the first time Razer released a Seiren microphone. Over 3-years ago, they introduced the Seiren Pro, a digital microphone with XLR recording capability. Coupled with the Kiyo HD webcam with ring light, users can stream from anywhere and get professional results.
