AMD Ryzen 9000-Series

AMD is preparing for one of the most important events in the tech industry — CES 2026. According to recent reports, the company plans to unveil its new processors: Ryzen 7 9850X3D, Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, and the Ryzen 9000G series.

Ryzen 7 9850X3D and 9950X3D2 Will Debut with Zen 5

Report: AMD to Showcase Ryzen 7 9850X3D and 9950X3D2 at CES 2026

These new CPUs and APUs are based on the Zen 5 architecture, featuring AMD’s acclaimed 3D V-Cache technology, as well as new APUs that promise to revolutionize integrated graphics performance.

The Ryzen 9000 series, also built on Zen 5, has already started reaching the market, but AMD is saving its most powerful models for the Las Vegas stage. The upcoming Ryzen 7 9850X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, equipped with 3D V-Cache, are expected to deliver major improvements in gaming and cache-intensive workloads, thanks to vertically stacked L3 memory reaching up to 192 MB of L3 cache.

AMD will also introduce new APUs — “Strix Point” and “Strix Halo” — which combine Zen 5 CPU cores with RDNA 3.5 graphics. These chips aim to provide exceptional graphics performance for laptops and compact PCs, coming close to the level of dedicated GPUs in certain scenarios.

The hybrid architecture of Strix Point, which mixes high-performance and efficiency cores, marks an important step toward improved flexibility and power efficiency.

AMD’s Strategy for 2026

AMD’s strategy is clear — to strengthen its leadership in gaming CPUs with the Ryzen X3D line while expanding its presence in the APU segment with more powerful integrated solutions. This move is also a response to competition from Intel and Apple, both investing heavily in hybrid architectures and high-performance integrated designs.

CES 2026 will undoubtedly be a key stage for AMD to showcase its latest innovations built on the Zen 5 architecture, especially for the gaming market.
