Report: NVIDIA N1 Series Will Arrive This Year in Lenovo and Dell Laptops
Rumors about a new NVIDIA processor for consumer laptops continue to surface. The well-known NVIDIA N1 and N1X chips remain in the spotlight, even though recent reports suggested a late 2026 release due to technical design issues. According to The Wall Street Journal, NVIDIA will launch these new processors in 2026. This timeline matches earlier rumors that placed their arrival in the first quarter of the year.
Arm-Based SoC With Integrated GPU Expected in 2026
It was previously reported that NVIDIA is working with MediaTek to manufacture processors based on Arm architecture, similar to the one used in its DGX Spark AI mini PC. For these upcoming laptops, NVIDIA will also use a system-on-chip (SoC) design that combines CPU and GPU capabilities in a single package.
This approach is expected to improve efficiency while delivering strong performance. At the same time, it should help extend battery life in thinner and lighter laptop designs.
According to earlier leaks, these processors will appear in laptops from major brands such as Lenovo and Dell. Lenovo is expected to focus on gaming laptops powered by the NVIDIA N1 Series, while Dell may revive its premium XPS laptop line with these new chips.
NVIDIA aims to compete directly with the Snapdragon X2 Series by including a Blackwell GPU, similar to those found in the RTX 50 Series. This GPU is expected to deliver enough power for gaming laptops without relying on a dedicated graphics chip.
This solution is similar to what AMD offers with its Ryzen AI Max+ processors, but with one key difference. NVIDIA will use Arm architecture for the CPU, while AMD continues to use x86 architecture in its Ryzen APUs.
