AMD is continuing the reshuffling of its staff in an attempt to make itself more competitive and successful in the long run. The latest change is the creation of a brand new position at AMD, General Manager of Global Accounts. John Byrne will be responsible for AMD’s worldwide sales and customer needs.
For the time being Byrne will report directly to AMD CEO Rory Read, who spared no words of praise talking about his new global accounts manager. Hopefully Read’s reshuffle will pay off in the long run. He also takes up the position as Senior Vice President in addition to being the General Manager of Global accounts.
