Resident Evil Requiem PS5 File Size Revealed Alongside Preload Date

With the release of Resident Evil Requiem getting closer, new details have emerged for players preparing their consoles for Capcom’s upcoming survival horror title. As usual, the X account PlayStation Game Size explored the PlayStation Store backend and revealed both the file size of the PS5 version and the exact preload timing.

PS5 File Size, Preload Date, And Unlock Time

According to the data shared, the PS5 version will require 72.88 GB of SSD space. It is not a small download, but it is in line with other recent AAA games.

However, it is worth noting that the final size could change. Pre-launch updates or a typical day-one patch — which is now common for large releases — may slightly increase the total storage required.

There are now less than two weeks left before launch, so players may want to free up space in advance.

As for the preload, the process follows the usual PlayStation Store system. Players who purchased the digital version will be able to start downloading the game 48 hours before release, beginning at midnight on February 25.

The digital version will then unlock at local midnight on February 27, allowing players to jump in immediately once the clock strikes midnight in their region.

It is also interesting to see how file size can vary across platforms. For example, the Nintendo Switch 2 version listed on the eShop reportedly requires only 27.6 GB, which is just over one-third of the PS5 version’s size.

In other news, NVIDIA is currently running a promotion where you can get the Resident Evil Requiem for free with the purchase of a qualifying GeForce RTX 50 series product.
