Resident Evil Requiem Reaches Over 4 Million Wishlists Worldwide
Resident Evil Requiem is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of the year, and Capcom has confirmed it — the title has been added to the wishlists of more than 4 million players across the globe.
The announcement came through the official Resident Evil social media channels, where the development team thanked fans for their ongoing support. They also reminded everyone that the wait is almost over, as the game is set to launch on February 27 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
New Showcase Coming Soon
Fans won’t have to wait until the end of February to see the game in action again. Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Requiem will be featured in a brand-new Resident Evil Showcase in the coming weeks. The exact date will be revealed soon, but expectations are already running high for new gameplay footage and story details.
Resident Evil Requiem represents the next main chapter in Capcom’s legendary survival horror series. The game promises a return to the franchise’s darker, more claustrophobic atmosphere — a mix of exploration, constant tension, and strategic combat against mutated creatures.
As shown in the trailer unveiled during The Game Awards, Leon S. Kennedy will appear as a playable co-protagonist alongside Grace Ashcroft, setting the stage for an intense and emotional experience that pays homage to the series’ roots.
In other news, Capcom may reveal the Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake in 2026, followed by a Resident Evil 0 remake in 2028. Insider Dusk Golem claims Claire Redfield will take the lead, with official announcements expected after the release of Resident Evil Requiem.
