Resident Evil Survival Unit Surpasses 2 Million Downloads, Developers Release Gift Code
If you’re playing Resident Evil Survival Unit, you can now claim in-game rewards through a new gift code — a token of appreciation for the growing number of downloads.
Resident Evil Survival Unit, the mobile game based on Capcom’s iconic series and developed by JOYCITY Corporation, was released about ten days ago, on November 18, 2025.
Since then, it has surpassed 2 million downloads on both iOS and Android devices, as announced by JOYCITY Corporation and publisher Aniplex Inc.
A New Take on the Resident Evil Universe
Resident Evil Survival Unit was first revealed last July and described as a new interpretation of the Resident Evil universe by Shinji Hashimoto, co-creator of the Resident Evil and Kingdom Hearts series.
Hashimoto led the development of the project, which immerses players in the world of Resident Evil through a real-time strategic gameplay style, quite different from the traditional horror mechanics of the franchise.
According to a press release, when Survival Unit launched, it immediately reached first place in the free games chart on the Google Play Store in the United States. On iOS, it became the most downloaded free app in over 15 countries, including Japan, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
Celebrate With the “2M SURVIVORS” Promo Code
To celebrate this milestone, Aniplex Inc. and JOYCITY Corporation are offering players a special in-game reward. You can redeem it using the promo code “2M SURVIVORS” on the game’s official gift code redemption site.
If Survival Unit keeps growing, Capcom may look into new partnerships with other developers to create more mobile versions of Resident Evil, while continuing to focus its main horror titles on PC and console.
