Resident Evil Village PC Requirements Revealed

There’s no shortage of amazing PC games to be excited about, but with every upcoming release comes one major question. Can I run it? Well, Capcom has just revealed the official PC requirements for their upcoming Resident Evil Village, the eighth entry in the main part of the franchise. Actually, this was meant to be a spin-off, but if I recall, there were delays, and this was reworked to be a main release… but I digress.

Hardware

The game will run using DirectX 12, and require a 64-bit operating system (Windows 10), not that there are many 32-bit systems out there these days.

For a CPU, you’ll want the Intel Core i5-7500 or the AMD Ryzen 3 1200, which are both pretty modest. However, the recommended CPU is the Intel Core i7 8700 or the AMD Ryzen 5 3600, so any modern quad-core CPU should really do just fine.

You’ll need a rather modest GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 560 with 4GB of VRAM for minimum GPU, and you can expect 1080p/60fps with low settings. Moving up to recommended graphics settings, you’ll want the GTX 1070p or RX 5700.

Why brands don’t give us 1440p or 4K hardware recommendations I don’t know, but I guess it’s safe to say something big and expensive (and out of stock) for 4K. Of course, you need at least the RTX 2060 or 6700 XT to unlock any ray tracing features too.
