AMD is expected to formally confirm the launch of its new Ryzen 7000 processors on August 29th with a subsequent release date of September 15th. Nope, this isn’t 100% nailed down just yet, but given the overwhelming amount of evidence, all we’re pretty much waiting on is AMD to come along to give it all the rubber stamp.
It seems, however, that one retailer in Canada might have gotten a little excited as following a report via TechPowerUp, Ryzen 7000 processors have been listed on their website that may not just confirm how much they might cost, but it might also be our best indication yet as to what the initial launch line-up will be!
Now, we should note that given that this listing has appeared online much sooner than it almost certainly should have, the details within should be taken with a grain of salt. – As often is the case, pending formal confirmation of prices, figures listed are sometimes just placeholders rather than 100% guaranteed knowledge. – Presuming that this is correct, however, then we can likely presume that the following is not just the four CPUs AMD may initially kick the Ryzen 7000 platform off with, but also what they may cost:
Now, based on prior leaks, these figures are notably higher than what was previously suggested. – For example, a source recently claimed that the 7600X would retail for something in the region of $200. In this regard though, we’ll freely concede that between $200 and $330, the latter sounds a lot more realistic!
With their official launch 2 weeks away, however, all going well, we don’t have much longer to go now before we find out for sure!
