Retailer Lists Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus and Core Ultra 7 270K Plus
An Indian retailer has listed the Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus and Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processors. The listings not only include their specifications but also mark them as “in stock” — even though Intel has not officially announced these CPUs yet, and no engineering samples have been leaked so far.
Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus: Slight Performance Upgrade
The Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus will be a slightly improved version of the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K. It will feature 8 performance cores (P-cores) and 16 efficiency cores (E-cores), based on the same architectures as the current model — Lion Cove and Skymont. It will also have the same cache configuration, but with a slightly higher operating frequency.
Compared to the Core Ultra 9 285K, the 290K Plus will reach a turbo boost of 5.8 GHz (100 MHz higher) on its P-cores. In multi-threaded mode, the P-cores can reach 5.6 GHz (also 100 MHz higher), while the E-cores can run up to 4.8 GHz (200 MHz higher).
Another key improvement is support for DDR5 memory at 7,200 MT/s natively, compared to 6,400 MT/s on the Core Ultra 9 285K.
Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Other Upcoming Models
The Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus will feature 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores, adding 4 more E-cores than the Core Ultra 7 265K. The P-core frequency will remain the same, but the E-cores will run 100 MHz faster in turbo mode. Like the 290K Plus, it will support DDR5 memory at 7,200 MT/s natively.
The Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Core Ultra 5 250K Plus will show the most noticeable differences compared to their current-generation equivalents, mainly due to having more active E-cores. The Core Ultra 5 250K Plus will include 6 P-cores and 12 E-cores, an upgrade from the 6 P-cores and 8 E-cores of the Core Ultra 5 245K.
Intel is expected to announce this new generation of processors at CES 2026, with a launch expected in the first quarter of next year.
