Roblox Faces Petition for CEO’s Removal Over Child Safety Issues

The petition, launched on August 9, 2025, claims Roblox has failed to protect children. It argues that the company has repeatedly ignored user reports and public complaints over the years.
“Roblox is supposed to be a safe and creative space for children. But under the leadership of CEO David Baszucki, that safety has been repeatedly compromised,” the petition states. “Instead of prioritizing the protection of young users, Roblox Corporation continues to allow harmful and exploitative behavior to thrive on its platform — with little accountability or transparency.”
The petition also claims Roblox is too slow to ban sexual predators, letting some remain active even after being reported. It also argues the company allows harmful content to circulate, relying too much on automated moderation that often punishes innocent players more than actual offenders.
Community Concerns and Legal Action
The petition highlights that community members who tried to fill Roblox’s safety gaps often faced retaliation. For example, a well-known YouTuber (not named directly) who tracked sexual predators on the platform was banned, even though the company had ignored repeated calls for stronger protection.
