Roccat Lua + Kanga Mini Bundle Gaming Mouse Review

A Closer Look

The Lua comes hard-wired with a lightweight black cable and a custom moulded USB 2.0 headset. While the mouse is plug-and-play ready, it’s best to download the software from the Roccat website to really enjoy all the features that it has to offer.

The build quality is superb, keeping in theme with the rest of the Roccat range by blending sweeping curves with strong angles. The top panel has been treated with durable rubber, giving it added grip and durability, as well as an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Since this is a tri-button design, you won’t find any side buttons at all. This could be an issue for some, but for those people, just don’t buy it. The missing buttons do have one major advantage, though, as you’ve got the entire side panel for grip, meaning you can use claw, palm, fingertip grips and you can really thrash the mouse about without fear of hitting the buttons (as they’re not there).

The same design on the right-hand side, meaning it’ll work just as well for left or right-handed gamers. At the back, there’s the Roccat logo cut into the top panel, behind which you’ll find some LED lighting, and we’ll see that in action in a moment.

The Roccat branding is cut into the soft-touch rubber on the top, which I think looks pretty cool.

Both buttons feature snappy and responsive switches with a well-defined tactile click that’s going to be great for gaming. The scroll wheel is heavily recessed into the body of the mouse but comes with a thick rubber grip coating for added control.

There are two large slipmats on the base of the mouse, which give it excellent glide; thanks in no small part to the already lightweight design of the mouse.
