The Taito performed just like we expected for a mid ranged mouse pad aimed at gamers. The surface was smooth – although not the smoothest we’ve seen, and all the mice we through at it, glided across the surface like a skater on ice, with no hitches at all. The pads were comfortable on the hand, with the 5mm thick pad offering slightly more comfort than it’s thinner brothers – no more flat impressions left on our wrists that you often get with hard tops.
Price between £5 and £15, Roccat have produced high quality, affordable mouse pads that meet many gamer’s needs. Offering high levels of comfort make the Taito perfect for those long sessions, although the durability could come into question if used too intensively.
So overall we have a fairly respectable product that sits comfortably in the middle of the mouse pad market. Whilst offering no special performance features (but hey, it’s a mouse pad so what do you expect?), it makes the perfect budget pad that should always be considered when in the market for new mat. So for these reasons we are awarding the Roccat Taito mouse pad with the:
