Rockstar Will Share New GTA VI Details in the Coming Weeks

GTA 6

An insider — the same one who previously spoke about a possible digital-only launch for GTA VI — has now suggested that Rockstar may reveal new information about the game in mid-February, just two or three weeks from now.

No specific details were mentioned, so this new information could take many forms. It might be a new trailer featuring real gameplay footage, or a more technical update focused on the console versions of GTA VI. This could include details such as resolution, performance modes, and other technical aspects.

The source also clarified the situation regarding the rumored digital-only release. According to them, it is not confirmed that GTA VI will launch exclusively in digital format on a permanent basis. Instead, this could simply be a temporary limitation.

That aligns with the original and more credible information: Rockstar may choose to release GTA VI digitally only during the first weeks or months to avoid leaks and other issues, followed by a physical release at a later date.

For Rockstar, the launch of GTA VI is one of the most important events not just of 2026, but of the coming years. The game is expected to become the company’s main source of revenue, so any leaks or problems could be extremely costly. For this reason, it makes sense that Rockstar would proceed with extreme caution.

Such a strategy would make even more sense with the PC version, as it could help reduce piracy during the early post-launch period, which is typically when the highest number of sales occurs.

In other news, high-ranking Russian officials and religious figures called for a ban on GTA 6 ahead of its release.
