Rosewill Stealth Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The Rosewill Stealth ATX Mid-Tower Gaming Chassis is available from CCL Computers for a very reasonable £67.40. This is pretty good value for money given the level of features that come bundled and while I’m not saying it’s amazing, it’s certainly competitive with other chassis in this price range.

Overview

The Rosewill rise caught me by surprise, as I saw it as a much cheaper chassis than it actually is, which ironically is both a good thing and a bad thing. At first glance, I think this chassis can look a little cheap, which is tough for Rosewill as there are some very sexy looking products on the market for the same money, such as the Aerocool DS200, the NZXT Source 530, or the Phanteks Pro M, but don’t count the Stealth out just yet. Rosewill has the competition beat in a game of top trumps, as for the most part, it out specs many of its rivals, let’s have a look at the run down. It has easily removable dust filters on the top, front and two more on the bottom, four pre-installed 120mm fans (two of them are LED), it has dual channel fan controllers, eight tool-free drive bays, cable routing space, side panel window, tool-free 5.25″ drive bays and a SATA hard drive dock on the top panel. That’s not a bad spec sheet for any chassis in this price range, and enough to keep the Stealth on my shopping list.

The build quality is pretty decent, with good quality fans pre-installed, good dust filters, and a simple but nicely finished black interior and exterior paint job that keeps the chassis looking neat and tidy. Tool-free bays means you’ll spend less time with your screwdriver when putting it together, and thumbscrews on the side panels are always welcome. The only fixes I’d like to see are pre-installed motherboard standoffs, and a little more room for my finger when removing the 3.5″ drive trays, which is more a minor fault pick than a major problem.

Overall, a clean and tidy looking chassis with some added flair from those red LED fans. It’s certainly well equipped, and the dual fan controllers are a huge bonus for those who like to switch from peace and quiet for movies and work, to maximum cooling performance while gaming in a hurry.

Pros

  • Four pre-installed 120mm fans
  • Dual fan controllers
  • SATA dock
  • Tool-free drive bays
  • Good cable management
  • Side panel window
  • Dust filters on all intakes
  • Good value (price vs features)

Cons

  • External design isn’t particularly inspiring
