According to a recent roadmap leak from Samsung, the company plans to launch new QD-OLED panel sizes in 2027, with a strong focus on 24-inch and 39-inch models.
This information was first shared by ChannelGate and suggests the start of a new generation of monitors using Samsung’s QD-OLED technology.
Samsung Plans New 24-Inch and 39-Inch QD-OLED Panels
So far, QD-OLED technology has mainly been available in 27-inch, 32-inch, and ultra-wide formats like 34 and 49 inches.
The introduction of a 24-inch panel responds to long-standing demand from competitive gamers. Many esports players prefer this size because it allows them to see the entire screen without moving their head, which is important in fast-paced games.
Bringing OLED features such as strong color quality and very fast response times to this size could mark a new step for 24-inch gaming monitors.
At the same time, the 39-inch panel is expected to fill a gap in the ultra-wide market. It would offer a larger option than 34-inch models, while still being smaller and more manageable than 49-inch displays.
The roadmap also suggests that by 2027 Samsung will introduce fourth-generation (GEN4) light-emitting materials, along with updated QOE specifications.
These new panels are expected to reach True Black 600 certification, which should bring higher brightness levels and deep black colors.
The leak also mentions improvements to the RGB Stripe pixel structure, which should help improve text clarity. In addition, new anti-reflection surface treatments (AR3.0 / AGLR) are expected to reduce glare and improve viewing quality.
Although 2027 is still some time away, this roadmap shows that Samsung plans to stay competitive in the OLED market, especially against LG and its WOLED technology.
