Rumor: Xbox Game Pass Could Let Users Customize Their Subscription
Microsoft is reportedly considering more changes to Xbox Game Pass, following recent decisions such as lowering the price and removing Call of Duty from day-one access. However, another important update may also be on the way.
According to a rumor, Microsoft could introduce a more “flexible” subscription plan. This idea may be linked to recent leaks about the Triton and Duet tiers that have appeared online. Insider Jez Corden claims that Microsoft wants to offer a system where users can customize their subscription based on their needs.
Xbox Game Pass Could Get a Flexible, Custom Subscription Option
This would not apply to choosing individual games, but rather to selecting services included in the subscription, such as Xbox Cloud Gaming or Fortnite Crew. In this setup, users who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate but are not interested in features like streaming or certain bonuses could remove them and pay a lower monthly price.
This potential change could be well received, as not all users take advantage of every feature included in higher-tier plans. Giving players more control over what they pay for could make the service more appealing.
In other news, the Xbox next-generation console, Project Helix, is designed to deliver a massive leap in performance, featuring up to 10x (or potentially 20x) higher ray tracing capability than the Xbox Series X.
