Ryzen 5 & 7 First Generation Retested on X470 Review

Power Consumption and Temperatures

Power Consumption

During our testing, we noticed no significant change in the thermal performance of the CPUs at all, honestly nothing to report there. However, this is a different motherboard and has a different power usage of its own. Therefore, we felt it was wise to share the power consumptions for idle and 100% CPU load. Unsurprisingly, they used a little more power this time around, but since that was reflected with improved CPU performance, it doesn’t seem like that extra power was wasted.
