Ryzen 5 9600X Faces Failure Reports on ASRock Motherboards
In recent days, tech forums and social media have been filled with reports from users claiming that their Ryzen 5 9600X processors suddenly stopped working.
At least four confirmed cases in the past month share a common factor: all systems were running on ASRock motherboards from the 600 and 800 series.
This situation is similar to what happened a few weeks ago with the Ryzen 9800X3D, which also showed failures in certain setups, most of them using ASRock boards. While non-X3D processors are usually less prone to this type of issue, the appearance of several cases in such a short time has raised concerns.
Possible Causes Still Unclear
Among the possible explanations, users are pointing to voltage management on the motherboards, as well as BIOS settings that may not be fully optimized for Zen 5 CPUs. However, so far neither AMD nor ASRock has released an official statement confirming the cause of these failures.
On forums such as Reddit and other platforms, users are debating the reliability of ASRock motherboards compared to alternatives from ASUS or MSI. Some recommend being cautious when upgrading to Ryzen 9000 series processors, or even avoiding ASRock boards until the situation becomes clearer.
For now, the number of reports is still limited, but the frequency at which these cases are appearing suggests that the issue could be more widespread than initially thought.
