Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 9800X3D Outsell All Intel CPUs on Amazon
AMD’s dominance in the PC processor market has reached new heights, with the company achieving a decisive victory over Intel on Amazon (US). The Ryzen 7 7800X3D and Ryzen 7 9800X3D are outselling Intel’s entire processor lineup.
AMD Dominates the CPU Market on Amazon with Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 9800X3D
According to TechEpiphany’s October 2025 sales data, AMD has secured a dominant position, capturing nearly 85% of all CPU units sold during the month. In numbers, AMD sold around 52,800 processors, while Intel managed just 10,200 units.
The most impressive aspect of this report is the strength of AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology. Just two models — the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and Ryzen 7 9800X3D — together sold about 16,000 units, surpassing the entire Intel processor lineup. This shows the massive popularity of the X3D series among PC enthusiasts and gamers.
AMD’s success isn’t just in volume but also in value, capturing 82.02% of total CPU revenue on Amazon. This dominance is largely due to the weak reception of Intel’s Arrow Lake (Core Ultra 200) series, which failed to deliver the expected performance improvements and even underperformed in gaming compared to the previous Raptor Lake (14th Gen) processors.
Intel Faces a Tough Road Ahead
While Intel still holds a higher market share in pre-built systems and laptops, the DIY PC segment remains a critical indicator. For Intel, the near-term outlook looks bleak. Even a rumored Arrow Lake refresh is unlikely to reverse the trend. Intel’s real chance to regain ground may not come until mid-to-late 2026, with the launch of its next major architecture, Nova Lake (Core Ultra 400).
For now, PC users have made their choice clear — AMD is the winner. Its X3D processors deliver excellent gaming performance, and the rest of the lineup offers a strong balance of price and performance. Plus, the AM5 platform provides long-term support for future upgrades.
