SAMA L70 360mm ARGB Liquid Cooler Review

SAMA are a relatively new brand to many of you, but what we’ve seen so far has certainly impressed us. With their new cooler, the SAMA L70 360mm ARGB, they have a bold new entry into the highly competitive all-in-one (AIO) cooling market, blending high-end aesthetics with accessible pricing, with a range of popular features and trends that are all well taken care of. Designed by SAMA, a brand increasingly known for its value-driven enthusiast hardware, the L70 is tailored for gamers and PC builders who demand efficient cooling for modern high-end gaming processors without the premium price tag, as it comes in at just £79.99 despite having a larger 360mm radiator and some unique thicker fans.

At this size, it’s aimed at mid-to-high-end builds, and its 360mm radiator promises to handle thermal loads of up to 320 TDP. However, thanks to its ARGB lighting and infinity mirror design it will also serve as a visual centerpiece for any modern gaming build.

SAMA L70 360mm ARGB Liquid Cooler

The L70 differentiates itself through several unique selling points, most notably its custom ceramic pump design. Unlike many AIOs that rely on generic OEM solutions, SAMA has engineered an in-house ceramic pump specifically tuned for this radiator and fan combination to ensure smoother liquid flow and enhanced durability. The aesthetic appeal is driven by a stylish ARGB acrylic water block featuring a cool infinity mirror design, which creates a deep, multi-layered ARGB lighting effects. Furthermore, the unit focuses on a streamlined installation experience by providing pre-installed fans and a daisy-chain cable system, significantly reducing the clutter typically associated with triple-fan liquid coolers.

Key Features

  • Custom Ceramic Pump: An in-house engineered pump designed for increased lifespan and quieter operation compared to standard plastic alternatives.
  • Infinity Mirror Aesthetics: A chamfered acrylic pump head delivers a multi-layered ARGB lighting effect for a premium, immersive look.
  • Pre-installed Fans: Three 120mm ARGB fans come factory-fitted to the radiator, simplifying the installation process and reducing setup time.
  • Enhanced Airflow: Utilises 28mm thick fans (rather than the standard 25mm) to provide superior static pressure and airflow through the radiator fins.
  • Clean Cable Management: Features a simplified daisy-chain design and includes dedicated tubing clips to keep cables and coolant lines organised.
  • Universal Compatibility: Broad support for the latest Intel and AMD platforms, including LGA 1700, LGA 1851, and AM5.

Moving to the technical side, the SAMA L70 is built around analuminium radiator paired with high-performance hydraulic bearing fans. These fans operate with a wide PWM range of 800 to 2200 RPM, allowing them to scale from near-silent operation to a maximum airflow of 72.3 CFM when the CPU is under heavy load, while also featuring a slightly thicker 28mm design vs the more standard 25mm fan design. The thermal efficiency is bolstered by a 1.5mm thick copper cold plate and 400mm of flexible, braided FEP tubing, ensuring that the system can dissipate heat from high-TDP processors effectively. With a maximum noise rating of just 28 dBA, the L70 is engineered to remain unobtrusive even during demanding tasks, supported by the included high-conductivity FREEZEE thermal paste.
